A Fresh Start.

Concocting my "first post" seems to be a much more difficult task than expected. For one thing I'm not exactly sure what direction or theme I want to hone in on. This fear of commitment seems to be a lasting theme in my life, but I can get to more of that later. For now I've decided to share an experience that I had about a month ago. A friend from school shared that she had an extra ticket to Art Los Angeles Contemporary, a contemporary art fair that took place at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica. Fortunately, for me she offered the ticket as well as a ride free of charge. It was a school/work night for me, but I decided to take up her offer anyways. When we arrived I was shocked at the at size of the event. I had expected the usual small four wall gallery space, but instead was greeted with a massive 40,000 square foot space! There were so many artists that after four hours I still felt as though I had not seen everything in detail. Every aspect of Los Angeles fine arts was covered, from painting to sculpture, to short film. It is safe to say that this event truly exemplifies contemporary Los Angles art. Below are a couple of shots from the exhibit...enjoy!
